Katie is a vibrant and energetic educator who brings her enthusiasm to all age groups at Cloverdale Early Education and Care. With a Certificate III qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care, Katie’s passion for working with children is evident. Before joining our team, she had a diverse and successful career as a competitive swimmer and swimming instructor for 17 years. During this time, she taught swimming to individuals of all ages, from babies to adults, and also served as a manager and staff supervisor of a swim school.

In addition to her swimming background, Katie is an experienced dancer who pursued her passion in a semi-professional capacity until the age of 25. Her dedication, hard work, and professionalism were exemplified when she competed in a dancing competition while heavily pregnant with her first child. She completed a tap solo in Melbourne and achieved second place overall, a remarkable achievement that highlights her exceptional talent and determination. Throughout her dancing career, Katie appeared on television and performed for Telethon on multiple occasions.

After her children were born, Katie’s journey led her to Cloverdale Early Education and Care., where her first child attended our centre. Witnessing the dedication and strong relationships developed with the educators, Katie decided to change careers and join our team. As a mother of two children, she brings valuable personal experience and expertise to her role, enhancing her interactions and understanding of the needs of the children in her care.

Katie’s wonderful sense of humour and bright personality make her a joy to be around. Her presence instantly lights up the room, creating an atmosphere of positivity and happiness. She is known for her infectious laughter and ability to bring a smile to everyone’s face.

We are delighted to have Katie as a member of our team at Cloverdale Early Education and Care.. Her energy, dedication, and experience from her previous career and personal life greatly benefit our centre and the children in our care. Families can trust in Katie’s expertise and genuine care, knowing that their children are in the hands of an enthusiastic and loving educator.

Katie’s positive attitude and radiant personality make her a valuable asset to our team, and we are grateful for the joy and laughter she brings to the children and staff at Cloverdale Early Education and Care..

This form is available for parents and their children to write a heartfelt message to their favourite teachers and other staff at Cloverdale Childcare. This is a tradition called a “Warm and Fuzzy”.

While brightening the day of the recipients, and making them feel ‘Warm and Fuzzy’, these messages can be used to teach children about positive social interactions, to positively contribute to a supportive community, and to become strong in their social and emotional wellbeing.

Our educators can also use these messages to engage with your child by asking how writing the message made them feel, and by the educator expressing how receiving the messages makes them feel.
